Kenilworth Ivy

Explanation

Here and there on the wall, there are tufts of Kenilworth Ivy, a true wall plant that brightens up the old walls in the city centre. With its small purple-violet flowers, it crawls along the walls, via the joints, bringing colour to a dull environment. Kenilworth Ivy is a general urban plant and can blossom during the majority of the year. It prefers walls in a humid environment, but can also survive in the blazing sun.

Relationship with humans

Why we do what we do

Kenilworth Ivy, too, has come to our cities as a result of human activity. Because of its beautiful graceful flowers, it was often planted in gardens. This little creeper is particularly popular as a rock plant. This tiny plant also managed to escape and has set off to conquer the city.
